Let’s make waves for our oceans together!
Mark your calendars, folks! On April 24th, the lovely city of Coronado will be abuzz with excitement as Emerald Keepers presents *An Evening of Aloha*, a fabulous fundraiser dedicated to supporting our precious ocean conservation efforts. This enchanting event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the charming Nautilus Room and patio at the Coronado Community Center.
This delightful evening embraces the Hawaiian philosophy of “malama i ke kai,” which translates to “care for the ocean.” Given the incredible bond we share with our oceans, this theme couldn’t be more fitting! After three long years without a major fundraiser, Emerald Keepers is diving back into action, and they’re eager to raise critical funds to ensure their ongoing efforts in protecting Coronado’s environment.
What’s a fundraiser without some incredible artwork to bid on? Attendees will be in for a treat as the evening features an art auction showcasing stunning pieces from renowned environmental artist Robert Wyland, as well as talented local artists like Tina Christiansen, Teresa Espinola, and Matt Wadleigh. With such a variety of artwork on display, there’s bound to be something that catches your eye!
For those who opt for a VIP experience, a special sparkling wine reception will kick off the evening, allowing guests an exclusive sneak peek of the art that will be up for bidding. Talk about a way to feel special!
When it comes to satisfying those taste buds, rest assured the food offerings will be nothing short of spectacular. Guests can enjoy delightful tray-passed appetizers, along with a mouthwatering zero-waste, island-inspired buffet. And let’s not forget about those sweet cravings! There will be delicious desserts, all while enjoying drinks from a hosted bar.
Entertainment is also part of the package! The Mahan Dance Company will be captivating the crowd with their graceful Hawaiian dancers, while local sensation Michael Gonzalez, also known as Gonzo, supplies the tunes. It promises to be a night full of laughter, enjoyment, and, most importantly, inspiration!
Emerald Keepers has been steadfast in its mission to protect the environment for six years. Through educational programs and various initiatives, they’ve worked diligently to promote sustainable practices and environmental protection. With the theme of keeping Coronado “Emerald Green, Ocean Blue,” the upcoming fundraiser is a crucial opportunity for community members to contribute to these ongoing efforts.
This spectacular evening is part of the broader Earth Week celebration, making it a perfect time to rally together and show our love for the ecosystem we cherish.
Want to join in on the fun? Early-bird tickets are available now, starting at just $75 for an individual ticket! If you’re looking to indulge in a VIP experience or bring friends along, there are excellent options for VIP tickets and tables of six or eight. But don’t wait too long! Standard ticket prices will kick in on April 1, so be sure to grab your tickets early through the Emerald Keepers website at emeraldkeepers.org.
