Exciting moments from the high school lacrosse season kicking off across the U.S.
The high school lacrosse season is officially underway in several states across the U.S., with North Carolina, California, Oklahoma, and Tennessee joining the ranks of Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and Florida. Exciting matchups are on the horizon, including key games between Lake Norman and Myers Park, as well as Memphis University School and The McCallie School. Additionally, the community remembers Carl Runk, who passed away recently. The season marks the 20th anniversary of the All-America Lacrosse event and features a new Rush Division for boys’ teams.
It’s that time of year again! The high school lacrosse season is officially heating up as many states across the U.S. dive headfirst into action. As of March 1, 2025, states like North Carolina and California have joined the ranks of Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and Florida, who have already rolled out their seasons in February. The thrill of the game is palpable as players lace up their cleats and hit the fields!
In case you missed it, Oklahoma and Tennessee are also kicking off their seasons this week, bringing more teams into the growing mix of lacrosse competitions. The energy around the different matchups this week is contagious! And guess what? The number of games listed on the Inside Lacrosse scoreboard is set to increase dramatically by the day as more teams join in on the action.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the All-America Lacrosse event, and they’re introducing a new competitive division called the Rush Division, aimed specifically at boys’ teams. Exciting changes are brewing as the NCAA preparations heat up as well. The Men’s DII Championship will see Adelphi face off against Lenoir-Rhyne live on NCAA.com, while the DIII Championship will have RIT going up against Tufts. How thrilling!
For our women’s teams, the Women’s DIII NCAA Tournament has announced its field, featuring 46 teams including 31 conference champions. The qualification heats up as conference finals roll in, and fans can’t wait to see who will snag postseason bids!
The Virginia lacrosse program is buzzing with excitement after securing commitments from several five-star recruits for the Class of 2026. This news not only boosts their recruitment class ranking but also raises hopes for a bright future ahead!
